Mason Trueblood was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. His parents are the founders (and current owners) of Civic Dancer Center – the studio where he began his training in the arts. He studied, performed, created, and competed in dance all the way through high school. He received both his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and his Bachelor of Arts in Film & Media Studies while attending the University of California Irvine.
Since then, Mason has toured the world with the international revival of the Broadway hit Bring it On: The Musical (choreographed & directed by Andy Blankenbuehler). Other stage credits include The Music Man, Peter Pan, Bye Bye Birdie, Cats and The Nutcracker.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Mason has had the opportunity to pursue work in both film and television which he has done with great success. He can be seen on such shows as Glee, 2 Broke Girls, Switched at Birth, Girlboss, Best Friendʼs Whenever, and Disney’s Shake it Up! He can also be seen in films such as 1 Chance 2 Dance, Just Dance 3 (video game), and Girlfriendʼs Day. Most recently Mason could be seen as Fender in NBCʼs Hairspray Live!
